The Greater Niagara General Hospital Foundation also known as the GNGH Foundation was incorporated in 1974. Its purpose is
to raise financial support each year for the Greater Niagara General through endowment funds, donations, and grants -- all of
which are held in trust on behalf of the hospital. When available, and as directed by the GNGH Foundation's Board of Directors,
money is transferred from these sources to the hospital to cover the cost of the equipment identified on a priority list created by the
medical staff, the hospital administration and its department managers in order to improve the quality of patient care.

| Did you know that neither the federal or provincial governments are responsible for purchasing or repairing hospital equipment? That responsibility falls to the community. And, did you know that the GNGH Foundation is the arm’s length agency (separate) from the NHS, established with the sole purpose of working with the community to raise and manage the funds that go towards the purchase of new or replacement equipment at the Greater Niagara General? We can’t do it without you! Please consider making a gift to the GNGH Foundation to support the physicians and allied health professionals working at the Greater Niagara General. |
